- he became captain hook because he lost a loved one and swore to hunt down the man who killed her.
- he lost his brother because of peter pan. they're not on friendly terms.
- the reason why he's so old is because he's lived in neverland, a land where people don't age.
- he has traveled and lived in magical places all his life, so he's quick to adapt. he doesn't know how most modern things work, but he's been to a land without magic before. he'll figure it out.
- always lying and flirting, actually a sad alcoholic.
- he would do anything (and anyone) to get his revenge, but lately he's started to realize that there is maybe more to life than clinging to the tragedy that happened literally over 200 years ago.

▶ fourthwalling: is it even fourthwalling when it's canon? he's aware that stories of him exist, so have fun with that, but i'd rather not have it revealed that he's actually from an ABC tv show.
▶ offensive subjects: hook's a pirate, so it's not uncommon for him to say or do some rather horrible things, but let me know if i've crossed a line. mentions of violence, killing and alcoholism will come up. as for me i'm fine with whatever as long as it makes sense in the context of the thread/CR.

▶ fighting: hook loves to pick a fight and he claims that he can count the people who have bested him with one hand, but so far everyone in the series has kicked his ass. he's basically a human punching bag. yes, come at him, but remember, he'll fight dirty.
▶ romance: his true love is deaaaaaad and he hasn't gotten over it. in like 200 years. lately he has been opening up and realizing that clinging to the past takes you nowhere, but that doesn't change the fact that he's still a wreck inside. it's going to take a lot of work to get any true feelings out of him.
▶ preferences: birate. he'll fake interest in anyone as long as it helps his own situation.

▶ do you hate ouat? yes. no. it's complicated. i enjoy the characters and the show is a lot of fun if you don't pay too close attention to the writing. i don't take it too seriously.
▶ ships? i ship everything and honestly i love threading out relationships and seeing where they go. slow burn is my favorite. at the canon point where i'm taking him from hook seems to have developed a crush on emma so i'm playing him accordingly.
▶ smut? sure, but fading to black is fine too.
▶ what kind of CR do you want? i kind of love negative CR? heroes kicking his ass, villains making him their useless sidekick, everyone else kind of rolling their eyes at him or openly despising him.
